A Flash game to promote some Peugeot car. Mildly entertaining for a couple of minutes, but I don’t know why every screen is marked ‘Demo Only’. Maybe you get the full thing if you buy a car?

A high-resolution remake of Another World has been made availabe online for €7. A demo of the first scene can be downloaded, and it does look fairly nice. The questions of whether you want to pay for a game you’ve already completed several times, and of why the new version runs so incredibly slowly are left open.

I’m guessing most people will have seen this before, but it’s kicked its way to the front of my mind again after several incidents that have reminded me that even though modern society is more reliant on science and technology now than it’s ever been, there seem to be a growing number of peope who are sort of aggressively proud of not knowing anything at all about the field. Wouldn’t it be completely maddening to be so disconnected from your surroundings? It seems so weird to me to not be obsessively interested in anything which affects your life so directly.
