The new Gorillaz vinyl figures set is incredibly swanky. One of the artists at work just bought the ‘Russel’ figure, and has had people drooling over it all week.
I was having a look at the set in Forbidden Planet, but they were even more expensive in there. I’m tempted, but I’m pretty sure there are better things I could do with the money.
Also, a quick note on FP. The Edinburgh shop was always fun to browse around, but roughly half of the staff were unhelpful prats. The London branch is much bigger, and the staff seemed friendlier, but has an entirely different problem: Body Odour. I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but the customers in there today seemed especially stinky, even for Sci-Fi/Fantasy nerds. I know you get so used to your own scent that you can’t really smell yourself, but surely you’d notice when you reach the ‘rancid cheese’ level?
