Scary Beans
This guy is apparently still on the bridge (23:45 Sunday night). I hope they’re feeding him. He apparently first went up there during the early hours of Saturday morning, but didn’t get the attention of the police until about 07:30. Note that people threatening to jump off North Bridge isn’t particularly unusual, but they normally do it late at night. It’s more the duration of this incident that’s got the media interested.
(At least the Scotsman newspaper’s offices don’t overlook the bridge any more. The sight of reporters hanging out the windows with telephoto lenses when something like this happened was always kind of gruesome.)
