Movie Star Child-Naming Abominations
Nicholas Cage and his wife have named their newborn son Kal-el Coppola Cage. (Note, if you’re not a nerd, that Kal-El is Superman’s real name.)
Why are famous people allowed to do this to their kids? Is it just because they know they’ll be able to pay the future therapist bills? More to the point, why is Nicholas Cage famous at all? He’s been despicable in every film I’ve seen him in. The act worked in Leaving Las Vegas, but only because his character was meant to be despicable in that.
Ah well. Poor rich kid.
