“… but she’s our witch”

A trailer for ‘Serenity’ has been released, and looks quite spiffy. Firefly seems to have been one of those programs that was initially only watched by a small number of cool kids, which doomed it to being canned after 1 series. However, these cool kids later told their friends, who ended up buying the DVD set because they were too late to watch the series on TV. The network people then realised that perhaps they’d been a bit hasty, and that maybe they should make more of this. Hence the movie, and there are rumours of further movies being made.

Anyway the trailer looks pretty neat. I’m actually in the middle of watching Firefly on a borrowed DVD set right now (yes, I’m one of the not-cool-kids. You are shocked, I can tell.) I’m enjoying it quite a lot, but so far I think I liked the animated version more.

David Byrne’s blog is proving to be really enjoyable, as is his Internet radio station. (Newsflash! Interesting people think interesting thoughts. Later in this bulletin, Man Bites Dog.)

TBS are launching a game service. There’s not much detail in the announcement, but it sounds suspiciously like one of those morally bankrupt ploys to get customers to lease media rather than owning it.
